We started Detroit Garden & Compost because we noticed a serious gap in the landscaping industry in our region. We envisioned something different—a company rooted in environmentally friendly practices that nurtures the land while creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. A Message from the Founder

My journey began over a decade ago with a simple interest in composting, sparked by my early gardening experiences. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Environmental Science at UC Berkeley, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of soil health and ecosystem dynamics. Engaging in community gardens and working on farms provided me with practical experience, allowing me to refine effective methods for composting and sustainable gardening.

What started as a hobby has evolved into a way of life, profoundly enhancing my mental well-being and providing a clear sense of purpose. At Detroit Garden & Compost, we are dedicated to sharing this journey with you, offering services that include garden coaching, maintenance, and sustainable landscape installations.
